Karina Gonzalez

Karina Gonzalez is overjoyed to be teaching at Davidson Academy Online! Karina earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from New Mexico State University in 2023, along with minors in Secondary Education and Counseling & Educational Psychology. This marks her third year of teaching, with experience in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, and Pre-Calculus. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and grow. She values strong communication and believes in celebrating each student's unique traits and perspectives
Originally from the Land of Enchantment — New Mexico — she fondly remembers the scent of roasted chiles and the beauty of cotton candy sunsets. She now resides in Huntsville, Alabama, also known as Rocket City, where she and her partner are enjoying the region’s rich history and cultural diversity (especially, the great cuisine). Outside the classroom, Karina enjoys dancing, board games, hiking, reading Chicano literature, and exploring nature. She looks forward to a meaningful and exciting year of learning with her students.
