Jessica Potts is a humanities instructor, the Curriculum Coordinator, and the Oracle Coordinator at Davidson Academy Online. She has been with DAO since 2015 and with Davidson since 2009. She earned a doctorate from the University of Nevada, Reno in Secondary Education, with an emphasis on gifted education and online learning. Her research focuses on the intersection of these two fields, and she has had articles published in Gifted Child Quarterly, Gifted Child Today, and EdWeek. She has presented at numerous conferences and has delivered webinars and workshops to schools, districts, and programs around the world. She is a four-time recipient of the Blackboard Catalyst Award and is also the winner of Blackboard’s Exemplary Course Award. In 2023, Dr. Potts was elected to serve as the NAGC Curriculum Studies Network Chair. Jessica and her husband live in the Czech Republic with their sons.
