Donald Broussard, Jr.

Instructor

Donald H. Broussard, Jr. is the Educational Consultant for The Bailey Group out of Ridgeland, MS and Debate Consultant for his own company, Urban Education & Debate Connections, LLC. He also started a non-profit organization centered around helping young men and women in urban areas and schools find their voice and advocate for their themselves and their community, Louisiana Urban Debate League. Additionally, Donald graduated from Alabama A&M University with a degree in Political Science & Criminal Justice and minor in Philosophy and then completed his Master's Degree in Education at Grand Canyon University. Donald is currently working on his Doctorate in Education. 

Donald competed in Speech and Debate at Lafayette High School in Lafayette, La. from 1994-1998 where he competed in LD Debate, Policy Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, Declamation, Student Congress & Oral Interpretation and won several District and State Championships throughout his time competing. He started several Speech and Debate programs in Middle School, High School and College from Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama. Donald coached several District and State Champions and National Qualifiers for NCFL and NSDA since 2001. Donald recently coached the 2023 Big Questions Debate National Champions and assisted several World Schools Debate Teams for the bast 4 years. The passion Donald has for Speech and Debate is great and owes so much to this mental sport and is honored to share my experiences and knowledge to the future minds and leaders of this country.
