Mrs. Stevens will be teaching Biology, Advanced Biology and Environmental Science this year. She is in her 7th year of teaching and prior to teaching, she attended both undergraduate and graduate programs at Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA. During her first four years at Randolph, she earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology with double minors in Chemistry and Equine Studies. In her graduate program, she received my dual Masters of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education and Secondary Biology Education.
Before working at DAO, Mrs. Stevens taught high school biology in New York, anatomy and environmental science in Alabama, and 3rd grade in virtual settings in North Carolina and Virginia. Mrs. Stevens is a military (Army) spouse and recently moved to Louisiana after spending three years in North Carolina. Outside her profession, Mrs. Stevens enjoys her leisure time as a toddler mom, a professional equestrian (horseback rider), and an avid scuba diver.
