Ashley Ingle lives in Kansas City, Missouri and is beginning her ninth year as a Language Arts educator. She enjoys creating lessons that focus on real-world application, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving.
Ashley has worked with students since she was young herself. She spent her teens and early 20s as a youth leader, camp counselor, volunteer coordinator, tutor, and substitute teacher. In 2012, she earned her B.S in Secondary Education from the University of Nevada, Reno and still holds a Nevada teaching license. Her first job was teaching English classes at an International Baccalaureate program in a public school in Washoe County, and then transitioned to teaching at Davidson Academy at the UNR campus for four years before transferring to Davidson Academy Online in 2021.
She has designed multiple English courses as well as created and taught ACT prep courses. She also dabbles as a freelance writer; her contributions can be found in a variety of publications. In 2020, she earned her Masters degree in English to further her knowledge on the subject that she teaches. While she enjoyed being a student and writing 20-page research papers, she’s happy to have her free time back so she can bike, hike, eat delicious food, read, write, and ride roller coasters.
