Latin American Geography

Course Overview

Welcome to Latin America Geography and Culture! During this semester-long elective, students will embark on a trip to learn about and discover the beautiful countries of Latin America. This class is an overview of the physical geography, cultural aspects, history, and current events of Latin America, all of which will help students to better understand these countries from a variety of perspectives. Students will analyze the regional and global problems facing these countries and will learn about their major contributions to the world. While students will be exposed to Spanish words and phrases, instruction in this class will take place in English.
