Karina Gonzalez

Karina Gonzalez is overjoyed to be teaching at Davidson Academy Online! Karina earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from New Mexico State University in 2023, along with minors in Secondary Education and Counseling & Educational Psychology. This marks her fourth formal year of teaching, with experience in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, and Pre-Calculus. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and grow. She values strong communication and believes in celebrating each student's unique traits and perspectives

Karina calls the Land of Enchantment—New Mexico—home, where she enjoys the scent of roasted chiles, cotton-candy sunsets, and the state’s rich culture and natural beauty. Outside the classroom, she enjoys dancing, board games, hiking, reading Chicano literature, and exploring nature. She looks forward to a meaningful and exciting year of learning with her students.
