History of Animation

Course Overview:

In this semester-long elective, students will embark on an exciting journey through the evolution of animation, from its early beginnings to the modern era. Through engaging discussions, multimedia presentations, and hands-on activities, students will explore the key historical developments, influential figures, and cultural impacts of animation around the world. By examining various styles, techniques, and innovations, students will gain a deeper understanding of how animation has shaped and been shaped by society over time. Students will meet for two hours each Friday, when we will have discussions and engage in activities. Throughout the week, students will interact with each other via discussion boards and other asynchronous tools on our Learning Management System.
